It's September! This means we can start to pretend that it's fall regardless of the stubborn Texas heat. Time to pull out the pumpkin, the cinnamon and all the North Face you own. (If you live in Texas, you can leave your sweaters in storage for at least another month.)
As promised, here are my two September goals.
1. Practice meditation. I have dabbled in meditation before but have never really worked on it. My dad loves it and swears by it. I have been meaning to start and this is the perfect month. Moving meditation (yoga) and prayer count too.
2. TV free! I remember as a child I did a TV-free week after watching an episode of Arthur. It was kinda hard but kinda fun. I want to go 10 days without turning on the telly this month. This also means no Netflix or online stuff. I wonder what I will do with all that free time??

Meditation seems really great, but I might want to start when I'm older and I have real problems to worry about. I worry about a ton of things in college, but in perspective, my worries aren't that...worisome.
Hahaha college = no TV for me because of no time! I miss it though!

ReplyDeleteThanks! I'll keep you posted on the meditation thing. I don't have any "real" problems right now, but I think it will help keep me focused and centered (that sounds way too new age-y, but you know what I mean.)
I didn't have a TV in college but I still got in quite a bit with Hulu and whatnot. I actually kept up with more TV shows in college than I do now. I watch a TON of movies now though.
