Gettin Figgy With It

This morning I ate a part of my leftover sweet quinoa with extra homemade almond milk, and other morning fix-ins (flax oil, chia seeds, pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds).



I ate this cold which was a rather nice change to my warm oatmeal bowls.

I ran around town doing some last minute personal errands which included using up my last LivingSocial massage deal. It expired on Sunday but the place said I could use it this week so I worked it in this morning.

I came home and heated up some leftovers.



Yesterday's pasta with a dollop of babaganoush mixed it and topped with a few shakes of nutritional yeast.

I also tried out some new fruit today. Figs! I've never had them before. They were on sale at Whole Foods this week so I figured I would try 'em out.



The verdict? Meh. I think a few weren't quite ripe yet. I prefer my fruit to be a little sweeter. The super mushy ones hit the spot but the merely soft ones were a little unsatisfying. I have a few left but they won't be eaten until they are super sweet and mushy.
