Good decision #1: I got a massage. Not the let's-rub-lotion-on-you-and-charge-$50 kinda massage, but a real good stripping of my muscles. It was fantastic. I'm a little sore and I think I might have a little bruising on my back, but it was worth it. I came home feeling like jello.
Good decision #2: I stuck some leftover watermelon in my juicer on a complete whim. The result was drool-worthy.
It was so refreshing and reminded me of the trips to an auto (taxi) stand in India where we used to chug fresh, cold fruit juices after a brutal day in the heat.
Alright, back to this burger story.
After eating leftovers for lunch, I really wanted to make something different and fun for dinner. I had purchased some new-to-me bread and decided to make veggie burgers.
I figured all you had to do was cook up some vegetables, mash it together with some cooked beans and form patties. Easy. I had done it before, I could do it again.
It was going alright. But then, for some reason I thought it would be a fantastic idea to dump the beans and the cooking water into the pot with the veg.
The mixture got super wet and sticky. But, being the solution driven girl that I am, I decided to coat the burger with some chickpea flour.
It started to look more like a burger and less like chunky hummus.
I even pretty-fied it in the hopes that I could title this post "Way Awesome Burger!"
(Yeah, you're right...that's just a picture of sauteed mushrooms. My bad.)
It tasted quite good, but burgers should not turn to mush as you eat them. Fail.
The worst part of this whole escapade was the mess it left behind. Which I promptly decided to ignore and eat bread and drink tea instead.
