It Felt Like a Monday

The holiday weekend had me in a funk. I spent all day correcting my internal clock and setting it for Tuesday.

I started the day off bright and early at 6am with a workout. It got my juices flowing but not enough for me to say no to coffee.

I got to work at about 8:30am and immediately dug into a jar of pumpkin oats while I checked emails.

Can't. Get. Enough.

I packed a lunch that I hurriedly scarfed around 12:30pm.

Veggie burger with spinach and mustard on sprouted wheat bread. A little dry, but it did the trick.

Tuesdays are rough. My boss is around, my to-do list explodes and I'm stuck in meetings all day. Luckily, I remembered that this morning and packed a little chocolate.

I definitely needed this.

After another hour or two of work, MC met me in my office and we chatted and snacked until class started at 5pm. I packed a substantial snack of a hemp seed bagel with peanut butter. I ate half of this during our gab-fest and the other half during class.

Since the bagel did a good job of keeping me full, I didn't eat any dinner. I simply did the dishes and went straight to bed. I finished up a novel and fell asleep by 10pm. I'm getting old.
