Daily Grill & the Domain

Last night, I met my friends Anju and Sumon at the Domain. Anju and Sumon are my best friends from college. The three of us survived some really brutal classes together. Nothing bonds you like a bad class. Last night, we hit up happy hour at the Daily Grill.

The vegan options were limited and I wasn't all that hungry so I went for the company. Pretty awesome company, if you ask me.

As silly as we were, we managed to talk about some "deep" stuff. I told them how I tend to avoid doing things by myself. Sure, I can go to the grocery store by myself, but I never go it alone when it comes to social activities. This realization came to me after reading how Gabriela over at Une Vie Saine goes to movies and ventures out downtown by herself. I could never do that. I'm just too self-conscious or something. After we talked about all that, I saw this...

It was a sign. I might be scared, but I've got to try it. Doing something alone will push me outside of my comfort zone and help me grow. My mind is set. This week, I will go to a movie by myself. I think I might even like it.

Anyway, I got home pretty late and my mama had made me some black eyed peas. I had a small bowl of the beans along with a few cherries for a late dinner.

My brother and I stayed up watching a movie and then a couple episodes of Ramsay's Best Restaurant on Netflix. I snacked on the rest of my TJ's Just Mango slices while we watched.

Overall, a great Friday night!
