Today, I worked from home. I put together a breakfast of soaked oats with chopped apples, vanilla, cinnamon and just a tsp or so of honey.
I swear, there is oatmeal under there.
All mixed up.
I then juiced. Big surprise, right? I usually juice a huge amount (about 0.75L) and drink it all in the morning. I am trying now to juice smaller amounts 2-3 times a day. I think this will help with my energy. The downside is that I have to clean my juicer 2-3 times a day. Not fun.
After I got into town yesterday, I hit up Whole Foods and stocked my fridge. But, it wasn't a very thorough job because I had to go back today. But, seriously, I never complain about trips to Whole Foods.
I somehow misplaced all my reusable grocery bags in Austin, so my large tote filled in. It might become my permanent shopping companion. Not only is it way bigger than a normal reusable bag, but its way cooler. It has elephants on it! I love elephants!
I hurried home to fix a lunch of salad, quinoa and mung beans.
The mung beans were cooked with onions, tomatoes, garlic, ginger, cumin and coriander. Pretty mild but still delicious.
The salad was lame. Let's face it. It's barely picture-worthy. But, it hit the spot. It was just a handful or greens with some chopped cucumbers dressed in apple cider vinegar and flax seed oil. Simple but delicious.
I then treated myself to a movie from Redbox. I was in the mood for a romantic comedy and this caught my eye.

It was awful! Just awful. I thought it would be decent since Bradley Cooper was in it, but no, I was wrong. It was terrible. The plot was unfocused, the dialogue was lame and the acting was sub-par. I was thoroughly disappointed.
Anyway, I am exhausted and ready for bed. I have to go into work tomorrow, so I have to get my act together tonight. Good night, friends!
What's even better than normal elephants are baby elephants :D
ReplyDeleteI stopped watching rom-coms sooo long ago...can't stand them! Even when the actors are good.
