Post-Finals Ritual

FREEDOM! I am officially done with my dreaded biostats class! I'm so excited! I have pulled my hair out in frustration over this class. It's been the cause of many late nights and even a few tears. But, its over. Finally. I wish I could tell you that it was a useful class and helped me develop a skill set that will further my career. It was none of those things. It was next to useless in my opinion. But, it does get me closer to graduation. That's something, right?

I rolled outta bed at about 10:30am this morning. I had a jar of overnight oats in the fridge but decided against it. I was really in the mood for some cold fruit. So, I chopped up half of a honeydew melon for breakfast.

I then jammed out to Celine Dion and Glee (yes, it's an odd combination) and went about my post-finals ritual-- cleaning. I LOVE cleaning and organizing. At the end of every semester, I look forward to giving my apartment a nice scrub down. Everything gets cleaned, from my Brita filter to the bathroom. Laundry, dusting, organizing papers, redoing the closet, nothing is left out. I love this day.

In the middle of my cleaning frenzy, I took a break to put together lunch— sprouted mung beans cooked with carrots, zucchini, onions and spices with some leftover quinoa.

I have a few more things to clean, a workout and a trip to Target and Costco ahead of me today.

Happy Friday!

  1. Congratss!!!

I was taking physics...ugh it really is terrible to be in a summer class.

And then I opened my email and I saw messages from all of the classes I'm taking this semester. And then I fainted.

How is college so much work?

What year are you, by the way?

I know! It IS so much work. I am actually in grad school. Two more semesters and I will enter the "real world"...whatever that is.
