Back to Work

I can't believe summer is coming to a close. This is my last week of freedom before my fall semester starts up. So, to prepare, I decided to go to campus today. I work at the school but during the summer, I have had the chance to take it easy and keep up from home.

I headed out and got to campus in time to have lunch with this lovely lady.

My lunch:

Veggie toss with brown rice and chickpeas, an apple and a few leftover raspberries.

The veggie toss was gettin' old in my book. This was the third time I made this exact combo in three days.

Lunchtime was also when I had heard about the earthquake and had a mini-freak out trying to contact my bestie. My dad got a hold of her family but no one had heard from her since she was away at work. None of the phone calls were going through either. But luckily, she responded to a text, albeit about an hour later. All is good. It turns out it wasn't that dramatic of a 'quake anyway.

I worked through the afternoon and tackled quite a bit. I left around 5 and came home to prepare my oats that I didn't eat this morning.

Soaked oats with usual toppings and the raspberries that went uneaten at lunch. YUM.

MC, Jen and I are all meeting up to go for a jog in the park in about an hour. Until then, I am gonna prep for dinner and throw in a load of laundry.
