Hotter than the Sun

Over the summer, my landlord took away my heater. At the time, I said good riddance and gladly took the space heaters which are plenty for the wimpy "winters" we have down here in Texas.

Well, what he failed to mention was that these space heaters have one setting: blistering hot. I pretty much go to bed in an oven. (And wake up perfectly crisp and golden.)

At about 3am last night, I woke up and went to find some relief in the form of cold water. And that's when it happened. The side door that holds orange juice, kombucha and a few other favorites broke and my condiments found a new home on the floor.

As I threw towels on the floor, I mourned over the three bottles of kombucha that exploded. I was really looking forward to those bottles. Oh well, no point in crying over spilled milk kombucha, literally. (Yeah, I've been waiting to say that for a while.)

Anyway, yesterday I took my second final of the semester. Two down, one to go.

I started the day with the new usual.

Uncle Sam's, blueberries and almond milk.

I took the final in the morning and was able to get in the kitchen by 11:30am. I put together a quick a delicious lunch-- mean green pasta salad.

I went into work post lunch and knocked out about 3 hours of randomness. I am officially off for the next month.

I snacked on an apple bran muffin. I canNOT wait to tell you about this one!

Dinner came together around freshly made hummus,

and a sad tomato.

Oh yes, I ate that tomato raw! I was crazy proud that I didn't gag.

Post-dinner I went to MC's to chat and say our final goodbyes for the year. I won't see that girl until mid-January!

I came home and ate another delicious muffin. I can't get my mind off of them!

P.S. I'm a White Collar addict. The show is amazing-- smart, funny and with good-looking men. Yup, that's my criteria.
