All of the Lights

On Tuesday, I made my way up all 103 floors of the Sears Willis Tower.

My original plan was to get up there by 4pm so that I could get a view of the city in the daytime and then stick around for 30-45 mins and get a good view in the night as well. That didn't quite work out.

By the time I made it through the exhibits and the short documentary, the daylight escaped.

One of the newer additions to the Skydeck is The Ledge. They have three glass ledges that extend out a little over 4 feet from the edge of the building.

I walked past these ledges three times before I took a step into one. And you can see I didn't get very far (the heels of my feet are still attached to the edge of Willis tower) but I still enjoyed the experience-- after my heart stopped pounding out of my chest.

But, boy, the city sure is beautiful from up there!
