The biggest change: Starting my part-time job.
I became a part-timer back in February. I've learned a lot and have met some pretty amazing people. However, having people depend on me in a professional capacity is new...and scary. I have gotten the hang of it now but I definitely had a stressful few months.
The most significant: India trip.
My mom, brother and I went to India in June to watch my cousin get married. This was the first wedding that I've seen from start to finish and the first that I participated in. It was so beautiful and fun!

Also while in India, Rishab and I had our "religious coming of age" ceremony. (I have no better way of explaining this but it's similar to the Catholic First Communion and the Hindu Poonal Ceremony.) Anyway, it was a private little ceremony done in a small Jain temple on the countryside. This temple, being able to do it with my brother and having my grandparents there made the whole thing really memorable.
The most fun: Visiting friends in California & Chicago.
I went out to San Francisco in May and Chicago earlier this month. I met up with friends and just goofed around. I'm so grateful that I am still in close contact with my high school friends.
A first: Becoming an aunt!
I became an aunt earlier this month! All the babies in my life are my cousins, this little rugrat has made me an aunt.

The most stressful: Becoming a gift giver.
Ok, I'm sure that gift giving was not the most stressful thing this year, but it is the most recent stressful thing. Most Christmases we either don't do presents or my parents will just get us a little something. This year, I became Santa.
It was actually more fun giving gifts than getting gifts. I put a lot of thought and time into the gifts and I definitely came out on top. My mom just walked in 10 mins ago, four days after Christmas, saying how much she loved using her Christmas swag. Warms my heart!
Crack Attack: Pinterest.
Beautiful, creative, inspiring and oh so addicting.
The best: This blog.
I started blogging more regularly back in July and love it. I have a few changes and upgrades for 2012 and am excited to see where it all takes me. Thanks for reading!
Loved discovering your blog this year...busy-ness = no commenting but I've been reading! I really liked the Dinner with the Danes post...sounded like everything tasted amazing!
