Sprouted wheat english muffin with almond butter and chai tea.
For starters, we shared a plate of curried hummus and tabbouleh with whole wheat pita.
This was extraordinarily good. It was kinda sweet, kinda spicy and all around delicious. I kinda wanted to eat it all myself!
I ended up ordering a fruit plate for lunch. (I told you this place was very vegan-unfriendly. The only two things that were vegan were ordered and devoured!)
I also got a half of a baby avocado and toast on the side. Yummy.
Post-brunch date, I came home and got to work. I wanted to get through as much reading as possible before the game started and people came over. Somewhere in there, I put together a snack plate.
Sprouted wheat pita, carrots, hummus and more tea.
Around 5ish, a couple friends came over and we snacked it out.
Chips, salsa, guac and sweet potato PopChips! Delicious!
I only kinda sorta watched the game. I was reading, catching up on email and finishing up an assignment. I did enjoy a few commercials and enjoyed rooting for the Pats until the very end.
That's such a shame that restaurants still aren't offering enough vegetarian/vegan options...if the government wants to implement health initiatives like sugar tax, they should start by making vegan/veg options mandatory on menus!
ReplyDeleteAgreed! Some cities are better than others. Houston is not very vegan-savvy. But, a smile goes a long way. I've gotten restaurants to do some cool things for me before. You just haveta be patient and tip well!
