Thanksgiving Round 2 (and 3)

Round 1 of Thanksgiving was at our house yesterday. We did this because today we had two houses to hit up for Thanksgiving festivities.

Let's start with lunch. A friend of ours invited us over and made an entirely vegan feast. They were so sweet and took extra measures to make sure that none of the dishes, whether homemade or store bought, had animal products.

I am eternally grateful because this lunch was incredible.

It was a hodgepodge of southeast Asian dishes including green curry, peanut satay and veggie dumplings.

The gang.

After a few hours of chatting, trampoline jumping and vegan ice cream/tofu cheesecake eating we headed home. I took a quick one hour nap and then we headed to Thanksgiving dinner at another family friend's house.

They did it up traditional style.

Turkey, green bean casserole, mac and cheese, sweet potato casserole, broccoli and cheese and cornbread stuffing. I tried out the cornbread stuffing and the sweet potato casserole. Both were delicious. Thankfully, I was still stuffed from lunch so, I made do with these two vegan dishes as my dinner.

All in all, a wonderful Thanksgiving!

P.s. Thanksgiving isn't really Thanksgiving without some Texas football. We had the game going on throughout dinner. Hook 'em!
