NadaMoo! Review

About a month ago, NadaMoo! sent me a couple coupons to try out their line of organic, vegan ice cream. On Monday afternoon, my brother, dad and I had an impromptu ice cream break.

I picked up Java Crunch, Lotta Mint Chip and Vanilla..ahhh. All flavors that sound just plain delicious.

My dad could barely wait for me to finish taking pictures. He was ready to break into the pints and get his ice cream fix.

The great thing about this ice cream is that it is made with brown rice syrup and agave nectar. No white sugar! Their products are also vegan, gluten-free and cholesterol free (though there is a fair bit of saturated fat from the coconut milk).

My favorite thing about NadaMoo! is the flavor and texture. Most vegan ice creams are water-y and make up for the lack of creaminess with extra sugar. So you get a frozen, sugary mess that is far from the traditional ice creams. NadaMoo! ice cream is super creamy and perfectly sweetened with high quality, organic ingredients. Definitely one of the better (best, in my opinion) vegan ice cream brands.

Side note: Their Lotta Mint Chip ice cream is a pale green color. I checked out the ingredient list to see where the color comes from. Wanna know what it is? Spirulina! Yes, this company uses the cyanobacteria to color their ice cream! How awesome is that?!

Anyway, I served up a bowl for my brother (the pickiest and most non-vegan person in the family). When I asked him to hand me his bowl so I could take a quick picture, this is what I got...

He was ready to fight me for it.

I coulda taken him. Especially if it was for ice cream!
