This past weekend, I moved into a new apartment! I love packing but HATE unpacking. It went really smoothly though. My family came in to christen the new place (and the new chapter of my life) which required boiling a small pot of milk.
My aunt, uncle and cousin also stopped by to help unpack. Rishab and D spent most of that time building a fort with empty boxes.
They also used empty boxes as modes of transportation. Ah, to be a kid again...
I'm loving the new place. It's spacious and close to work. I'm also LOVING my new kitchen. I have actual counter space and (drumroll) a dishwasher! I've had to handwash dirty dishes for two years now and I cannot tell you how excited I am that I finally have a dishwasher.
But, I will miss my old apartment. It was cozy and inviting. I also loved living in the city! One thing I won't miss is feeling like a janitor every time I whip out the keys necessary to get into my complex.
I suddenly have more room in my purse.
