The first post

I hate defining a blog on the first post. I think it's limiting. The title speaks for itself. These are my adventures with food. Sometimes they are exquisite and sometimes they are lackluster. But, most of the time I want to remember them. Like tonight. Tonight I made a curried lentil soup. This dish was inspired by the north Indian staple, dahl. I served it with a small spinach salad (lightly dressed) and a few pieces of grilled bread. The soup wasn't spicy but it was well spiced with cumin and coriander. It was creamy and the perfect comfort food.
